HERMESVILLA: THE CASTLE OF DREAMS

Located within the Lainzer Tiergarten, Hermesvilla is a palace that the Emperor Franz Joseph gifted to his wife Sisi – what a gift right?- Years ago it was also known as the castle of dreams, and I must admit the nickname really does it justice!

On my excursion I got to admire the beautiful gardens and the elegant rooms that once welcomed the imperial family. They are totally worth a visit and absolutely photogenic! After that we made a stop at the CafΓ© to have a chocolate, which we enjoyed very much as the atmosphere was pleasant and cosy πŸ™‚

The good news is that it can be visited for free the first Sunday of every month. So, if you are looking for something original to do tomorrow, why not visit the castle of dreams and even have a walk through the Lainzer Tiergarten? I hope you enjoy it!

  1. I’ve been there myself and it does look like a dream place. Your pictures have managed to capture all the magic of both castle and surroundings. Congrats!!!
