Would you believe me if I told you that England is just a 5 minute walk from a Wienerisch U2 Metro Station? That was my thought yesterday when I finally got to visit Cafe Little Britain, my great discovery of the week.
4 O’clock. Daylight. Husband at home. It was one of those afternoons when you would like to treat yourself to something sweet with a goood cup of coffee . Café Little Britain popped out in my mind, and after all I didn´t have to insist much to husband, who seemed to have the same sweet wish just like me 😉
As soon as we entered the place, the charming atmosphere put a smile on our faces: the english vibes and deco are just lovely and make you feel at home.
We were warmly welcomed by the waitress, who gave us some useful tips for our order. There are options for all tastes: 5 O’Clock tea served with scones, sandwiches and sweet treats; delicious coffees, tees, frappes, special chocolates (Crème brûlée, Caramel, with Mint…), and the most important for me: amazing cakes! – If you go for lunch there are some hot dishes as well –
As for us, we ordered a cappuccino, a White Creme Brulee chocolate (must try), and an Omas ApfelKuchen with cream – Granny’s apple cake. Yummy!
Everything was delicious and the prices where OK (10 Euros for everything).
All in all, I believe it is a charming place to come alone, with your girl friends, or your loved one (although they may say it’s girly, when they try out the delicious pastry they will forget about everything)
As for me, next time I´m coming with my mother, who will soon come to visit!!!
